"To live and work in harmony with nature, respect the well-being of animals, protect wildlife, cultivate the soil and respect its biodiversity, support committed farmers, encourage seasonal products and short circuits, perpetuate the savoir-faire of our elders and share a taste for good things...these all make up Maison Brémond 1830’s philosophy"

OLIVIER BAUSSAN

Man holding Olives

FROM THEN ...
Grocers, merchants and confectioner, the Brémond family set up their delicatessen on the mythical Cours Mirabeau in Aix-en-Provence in 1830.
At the time the town was the commercial capital of Provence.
The address was soon to become an absolute must: people came from far and wide to taste the confectionery and other exceptional products. In 1973, it was taken over by another family, the Borrellys. The iconic shop moved to its present location Rue d’Italie in 1986.

TO NOW: Maison Brémond was taken over in 2015 by Olivier Baussan. And that was the beginning of a new story, that of a delicatessen committed to the valorisation of Provencal and Mediterranean savoir-faire in the selection oflocal, authentic, exceptional products with unique flavours. Today, Maison Brémond 1830 works alongside artisan-producers who have been rigorously selected for the quality, traceability and authenticity of their savoir-faire. Since the first shop was opened in 1830 in Aix-en-Provence , there are now 13 Maison Brémond shops in France and 16 world-wide, plus 200 retailers and an e-shop which offer the whole range of exceptional savoury and sweet products.
